The story tells the story of Martine, a morbidly named wren, and how they begin to travel together. Martin offers to take care the wren if it gets lost in his travels. Martin and Wren have a fast-paced romance and adventure book. I was thrilled to read about these unlikely friends, who quickly build a strong friendship. The book was enjoyable, even though I don't have any birds. It captures both the wonder and excitement of these two very similar species. Martin has created a feeling that the reader almost feels they're part the animal. That is an important aspect. I loved reading about the beginning of their relationship.
